Considering a lawsuit..input?

Two weeks ago, a coworker of mine hit me in the face with a freezer door [I work in fast food, this happened at work] which left a hole in my lip that was clearly visible. I went to the hospital that night and had two stitches put in my lip. This left my lip swollen and the inside of my mouth cut up. The force from the door knocked one of my teeth out of place leaving it crooked. Now, after I got the stitches, my boss said they wouldn’t pay for it unless I took and passed a drug test. But the guy that hit me [a training manager BTW] didn’t have to take one. I did the test and they took care of it. The medicine the doctor prescribed that I take, Augmentin had a terrible affect on my vaginal area. It not only left me with a yeast infection, but my entire vaginal area is so swollen that walking and sitting hurts to no end. On top of all that, following this incedent, my boss cut my hours in half. Do I have a case?

I have documents and pictures of all injuries listed above.

A case for what? Generally, if you accept care under workman’s comp (which should also cover the tooth repair), you give up your right to sue the company. It is also common practice when an employee is injured at work to subject them to a drug screen. The company had no way of knowing that you would react badly to the Augmentin (you should have called the doctor for a different medication and asked for some medication for a yeast infection…strong antibiotics can cause them), and your boss can cut hours as he sees fit unless you have an employment contract or collective bargaining agreement that states otherwise.
